2 weeks off!

We're already two weeks into March and I feel like so much is happening. First off I finally booked Maui in to be neutered, I put it off for way to long because I hate the idea of her being in any sort of pain but after seeing her going into season as often as she was and the constant peeing on my furniture I think its safe to say I'd had enough and it had to be done! She had the operation on the 8th and has already been in for her first wee checkup and everything seems to be healing perfectly and she has her last check on Sunday so fingers crossed all will still be good.

In 8 days it will be Sophia's birthday! She's going to be 4 years old and I still can't get over it. On my Facebook memories today it came up with some pictures of me 4 years ago, very pregnant posting about still having 7 weeks to go until I got to meet her, but she obviously was not going to be waiting that much longer and I got to meet her early. I am not at all organised for her birthday so I …

Going Dairy Free.

Quick disclaimer for this post, all information has come from my own research and advice from my doctor. There are photos on this post that show my skin when my acne was pretty bad so if that's something that could be uncomfortable then maybe this post isn't for you.

In around May 2017 I had decided that enough was enough when it came to my skin, I was sick of not being able to wear t-shirts or anything that showed off my shoulders/back, covering myself up all the time especially on warmer days wasn't ideal and my confidence was at a low. I had done some of my own research and found a lot of videos and articles that linked acne to dairy products, there was so many youtube videos which showed how much people's skin cleared up after they cut dairy out of their diet. I sat on it for a few days and continued to do research until I decided to just go for it, I ordered a big food shop to the house with nothing that contained dairy, I've found new butters and milks that I…

The first week of 2018 and resolutions.

I'll start off by saying Happy new year to everyone! I hope we all enjoyed new years eve whatever it is you got up to, I for one was asleep before the bells and had Ruairi waking me up every 5 minutes so that I didn't miss them. On boxing day my mum had decided that she was taking Sophia until the 30th and because of my work schedule I didn't end up getting her home with me until new years eve so even if I did plan on having a crazy night out, staying in with her sounded so much better!

Resolutions:
I'm really bad every year for just setting myself up to fail or telling myself that I want to do things that really I have no interest in doing that year so why bother this year? I've kept it short with a couple of little things that I would like to add into my life and that can bring me some happiness.
1. Read more books. (I have 9 books set up already which will hopefully get me through the year)
2.Be a little smarter with money to save for a house.
3.More blog/social med…

Girls weekend in Glasgow

This time last week I was in the middle of a full day of shopping at Braehead shopping center in Glasgow. A couple months ago my nana and sister had asked if Sophia and I would like to go on a little shopping trip somewhere before Christmas, at first I didn't really want to, I couldn't justify the money I would end up spending with going away but ended up thinking fuck it! why not? Glasgow seemed like a nice idea as it wasn't too far away for travelling with a little one who doesn't do a lot of travelling and we knew there was a massive shopping center there that we could easily spend a full day in.

Before going me and my sister had chatted about possibly taking an hour out of our Saturday morning to go to a tattoo shop and have matching tattoos, I had also been looking into a piercing that I've been wanting to get done for a long time so I thought why not just get it all at the same time. We went along to a really friendly tattoo shop in Govan called 'LUV ink&#…

We're just not well.

Sophia's in bed, Ruairi is away home and it's a decent time of night for me to dust off the laptop and get on here. Today has been one of those ones that seem to drag along and you always think it should definitely be later than it is. Our trip to the hospital today was the second one for us in the space of 6 weeks, just before Halloween we went because my very helpful princess cut her arm on a smashed glass because she wanted to help with housework, that trip was less worrying as you know they're gonna survive a wee cut to the arm its just more of a panic seeing them in pain, however this weekend Sophia has been really unwell, last night a rash had appeared all over her body and she just didn't seem herself.

This morning when she got home from my mum's house we phoned the nhs and then headed up to the hospital shortly after, with the mood Sophia was in I really didn't think she was gonna be on her best behaviour in there but she was a little star and I'm s…

A look back on October

Sophia has been put to bed, the housework has been partially done and I've had a long day so it's finally time for me to sit down and talk to myself on here!

Another month crossed off of 2017, October was a good one! A wee holiday from work, lots of time with Sophia and HALLOWEEN! I wish I had lots of stories for each week of the month but life hasn't been that exciting really, I think the main reason I've enjoyed it so much is probably just because it has been nice and quiet and it is nice sometimes to just not have anything big going on. I'm loving the darker nights, warmer clothes and all the hot drinks I can have whenever I like.

Last Saturday after working a 9 hour shift at work I had to quickly get home and ready for a Halloween party with Ruairi and some of his friends and family, sadly with having limited time to get ready, the 10 minute make up was scary enough so I didn't take any photos that night, I went there with the mindset that I'd be leaving…

The Week off

Last week while I was working I was thinking that I definitely had a holiday coming soon but I had completely forgotten about it, so you can imagine my surprise when I was told that my holiday was actually this week! I wish I could say I've been super productive, I did originally plan to decorate my bedroom but with the time off being quite last minute I didn't want to hurry around and get everything I needed for decorating when I could actually just relax for once.

Monday to Friday were pretty standard, Sophia still had nursery so it was quite odd having time to just chill out and not be getting ready to leave for work, I also tried to make time for friends that I don't get to see that often which was quite lovely. After nursery on Friday my mum came through to pick Sophia up and take her away for the weekend, so it was even more weird not having to wake up super early on Saturday for either work or Soph.

Last night Ruairi and I had a wedding reception to go to with some f…
